My client is seeking a highly proficient Payroll Officer to ensure accurate payments and processing of the company payroll (350 staff)on a daily, weekly, and monthly cycle. Incumbent will do this by ensuring that all relevant documentation is accurately captured (i.e. Leave, allowances, and overtime). You will be responsible for ensuring that the time and attendance system is accurate in tracking the hours worked of all staff and that any corrections are made in a timely manner. You will also support management by reporting on leave overtime and any other relevant information to assist them in making decisions.
Duties include:
Maintaining employee/payroll records
Auditing timekeeping records to ensure compliance
Entering new hires into the payroll and time & attendance systems
Checking and capturing of posting sheets daily
Import hours weekly for payroll interface
Ensuring accurate calculations of rate of pay change
Ensuring all relevant deductions are done, such as 3rd party deductions, garnishee orders, maintenance orders
Processing of leave
Generate Reports and Payslips
Monitor clocking’s on T&A system
Prepare and reconcile monthly returns including UIF files
Ensuring all pay-related queries are dealt with promptly and feedback given promptly
Minimum of 3 to 5 Years of experience in payroll on VIP Premier/ Sage 300 people.
Excellent English ability
Skilled with Microsoft Office ( Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience with weekly and monthly Payrolls,
Experience with Labour Broker management and Time and Attendance system management would be advantageous
