Store Manager - electronics experience required

The role is tasked with tackling the below indicated challenges and to position the Business and think ahead in the electronics and accessories sector to ensure that it maximizes growth opportunities within the specified market.

Experience:

•    Minimum of five to tens years managerial experience in a technical store environment (Similar Environment)

•    Previous track record in a target driven environment

•    Previous experience in managing a store with a relatively high turnover


Key Functions:

•    To deliver on sales targets that are secured directly by the Group Operations / Sales team within the core holding company.

•    Manage the store team to meet aggressive growth sales targets

•    Develop key end-user and partner relationships

•    Ensure the Store Team is the primary vehicle for stimulating the business demand for represented products and services in the country as this would be the first store for South Africa

•    Be a custodian of the brand we represent to ALL customers

•    Implement strategies to substantially increase the quantity and quality of product, solutions, and technical skills within the sales team

•    Development of more, better quality strategic partnerships that will allow the organization to achieve a greater degree of scalability

•    Recruit and mentor, a high-performance team capable of maximizing business opportunities on a sustainable basis

•    Ensure a clear succession plan is in place for all key members of the team 

•    Own and manage the internal relationships within the business that are part of the delivery chain for the customer 

•    Design and deploy processes and workflows to address new project and operational needs 

•    Staff and HR process management

•    Functional discount vs Selling price review

•    Prepare and maintain sales reporting and incentive statements 

•    Generate sales analytics as required

•    Keep abreast with the latest technology trends in the applicable segment. Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. 

•    Maintain awareness of market trends in the industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring what local competitors are doing

•    Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans

•    Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures

•    Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment

•    Develop a schedule of holiday activities and promotions throughout the year strategically designed to bring in more revenue

•    Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent

•    Promote the organization locally by liaising with local schools, newspapers, and the community in general


Qualifications:

•    Minimum Matric

•    Tertiary qualification is preferred


Responsibilities:

•    Customer Service - To provide exceptional customer service and lead by example

•    Sales Targets - To ensure constant adherence to sales targets and to ensure all staff members fully understand the importance of achieving sales targets

•    Systems Management – To ensure correct application of all systems within the store, namely; sales, returns, exchanges, repairs etc

•    Stock Management – To ensure good business practice of ordering, storage of stock, tracking of stock, controlling inventory, prevention of damages, and eliminating shrinkage

•    Operations – Understanding the operations of the company and ensuring adherence. Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements. Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures

•    Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales

•    Respond to customer complaints and comments in a professional manner

•    Organize special promotions, displays and events within the store and in the mall where applicable 

•    Update senior management on business performance, new initiatives, and other pertinent issues consistently
