Social Media Manager - 6 Months Contract

This is a contract position with possibility of going permanent.


Job Purpose

To manage various clients’ social media accounts and supporting with social media paid campaigns across local and international regions. The ideal candidate will be a conversation-starting, idea-generating and wordsmithing powerhouse.


The social media manager will be responsible for:

• Social media strategy development.

• Oversee all the social media initiatives and campaigns.

• Assistance with client crises and setup of alerts to monitor the reputational activity of the brand,

with the ability to clearly and concisely report back to key teams.

• Creating, improving, and maintaining content for various platforms to achieve business goals,

all the while maintaining creativity that is aligning with the brand.

• Scheduling and planning social media marketing across organic and paid.

• Backend and frontend advertising (as well as conceptualising and managing social media

paid to advertise for specific campaigns).

• Social media page management.

• Community management.

• Briefing in design to ensure positive consumer engagement & experience (moderation management).

• Monthly reports on metrics, using experience and insight to analyse and quantify data, continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives

• Working closely with the core team in PR, IR, digital and research partners to ensure executions meet the requirements.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions with creative teams, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative campaigns through social media.

• Have your finger on the pulse of social media developments/innovations and ensure that work delivered in this space aligns with best-practice creative and social principles.

• Provide clear feedback and guidance to creative teams, working with them to deliver the best possible result.

• Build and foster relationships with clients, winning over their trust and confidence.

• Demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail to ensure all work that leaves the agency meets the

brand guidelines.

• Independently research, plan, implement and optimise campaigns across multiple clients.

• Promote the role of social marketing in the marketing mix and its importance to acquisition, brand and awareness.

• Develop paid social media strategy for clients.

• Motivate and mentor junior members of the team.

• Set up tracking and analysing social campaign performance.

• Ability to use social marketing pixels and set up remarketing lists.

• Experience with all paid media tactics from execution to strategy.



Experience required

• Digital/Social Manager with at least 3-5 years of social media experience in social media management and paid social media.

• Experience in using social listening tools.

• Experience and confidence using social media platforms. (FB, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, Pinterest)

• Experience in paid media (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) reporting in multiple currencies

• Reporting and Analytics

• Basic understanding of SEO, web and paid media advantageous

• Experience on Hootsuite and Talkwalker preferable

• Advanced MS Office Suite skills (especially Excel) and Google product suite
